Driver Age Requirements
Minimum/Maximum age: 18 to 99 years except car group FL-OV2 (15 seater) Minimum age is 21.
Surcharge applies to ages 18 to 25: $20.00/day.
Senior drivers surcharge applies to ages:70+: $10.00/day.

Driver Requirements and Mandatory Documents
The following documents are required in order to collect your vehicle:

  • A full valid driving license in the name of the renter on the confirmed booking voucher.
  • Proof of a valid full coverage auto policy in lead renter’s name *(see auto insurance requirements).
  • Your rental confirmation document.
    International driver licenses are accepted, when accompanied by a valid passport only. If your license is not in Roman alphabet (i.e. Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese) you need to bring an international driver's license and your domestic license.
  • Valid Credit Card in the name of the lead driver.
    The driver's license must be valid for the entire rental period.

Auto Insurance Requirements
Customers intending to self-insure our vehicles, are required to produce sufficient proof of auto insurance, to include comprehensive and collision deductibles.

Insurance verification must be presented in the form of documentation (declaration page of policy), email or via the insurance company’s mobile application only.
If proof of insurance cannot be provided, clients will be able to purchase insurance at the counter.

Deposit and Payment Requirements
Bank issued Credit cards are accepted. Prepaid cards, debit cards and cash cards are not accepted.

Credit Card Deposit Requirements
All major credit cards (Master Card, Visa, and Discover with logo on them) are accepted. Prepaid cards, debit cards, cash cards and American Express are not accepted.

A security deposit of $500 USD will be withheld on the credit card for various reasons including but not limited to Loss of Use/Diminishing of Value (regardless of fault in auto accident), unauthorized rental extensions, damage, recovery of vehicle, driving rental car outside state of Florida boundaries, etc.

The main driver of the rental must be the named card holder of the listed credit card (which must be valid). If using the credit card of another person in the party, they must be present and become the main driver on the contract, with anyone else in the party being added as an additional driver (if they wish) at an additional charge.

In the event that you fail to present a valid credit card or there is a lack of sufficient funds available on the credit card, the car rental agent may refuse to release the vehicle. In these instances, no funds paid will be reimbursed.

Fuel Policy
Green Motion operates a Fair Fuel policy, renter must return with the same level of fuel as was supplied at the time of collection.

If fuel level is lower, front counter agents will charge for missing amount at much higher cost – ask for details.

Prepay Fuel Option (Buy a Tank)
Vehicle is rented with a full tank. You may purchase a full tank of fuel at the time of rental; bring the vehicle back with fuel at any level. There will be no credit issued for unused fuel.

Mileage Policy
Mileage is unlimited for all clients arriving into Miami international airport, Orlando international airport, Fort Lauderdale international airport with a return ticket.

Exclusions apply as follows:

  • Unlimited mileage is not available for Florida Residents - see Geographical Restrictions Policy.
  • Florida residents are allowed a maximum of 100 miles per day, not to exceed 3000 per month, additional miles will be charged at the rate of $0.25/mile above this amount, totaling over the entire rental period.

Geographical Restrictions Policy
At this location, unlimited mileage is available only when traveling within the stated geographical area. Use of the vehicle is restricted to within the State of Florida.

For those traveling outside of the geographical restricted area, a mileage charge will apply. At the time of rental, mileage packages are available. Please inquire directly with the renting location.

Mileage is unlimited for all customers arriving into MIA-MCO international airport with a return ticket.

Third Party Liability (TPL)(SLI) and Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) are included for international customers who reside outside the United States. All USA residents will be required to purchase Third Party Liability (TPL)(SLI) and Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), or to use their own auto insurance*.

Optional Insurance Coverage

Renters Liability Protection (RLP)
This is available for an additional daily charge of USD 19.99 for each rental day. RLP affords the renter with liability insurance at the policy limits required by the state. This insurance will help protect the renter should the renter injure another person in an accident, or damage the property of another while operating the rental vehicle, up to the policy limits. Deductible USD 2500.

Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI)
This is available for an additional daily charge of USD 15.99 for each rental day
This is available for an additional daily charge for each rental day. SLI is a secondary insurance product that picks up where primary liability (state statutory limits) leaves off. When combined with primary liability coverage, SLI provides the renter and any authorized driver up to $1,000,000 of liability protection for third party claims due to bodily injury or property damage. In order for SLI to pay on a claim, however, the state statutory limits must first at least be satisfied. The policy will respond only after all other available insurance has been exhausted. The purchase of SLI will be required if renter does not own a vehicle or auto insurance policy in their name. If insuring your rental car with a credit card which has rental car benefits, the purchase of SLI will be required, unless renter has proof of liability auto insurance which must be presented at the time of pickup.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
This is available for an additional daily charge of USD 6.99 for each rental day
This coverage is available in combination with Personal Effects Coverage (PEC) for an additional daily charge for each rental day. PAI coverage: Benefit Schedule Renter/Each Passenger Accidental Death USD 250,000.00 / USD 100,000.00, Accidental Medical Expenses (reimbursed) not to exceed USD 2,500.00, Ambulance Expenses not to exceed USD 500.00. Total benefits for any one accident are limited to USD 458,000.00 and are payable in addition to any other coverage for which you, authorized drivers or your passengers are eligible. However, your benefits provided by other coverage may be affected by the PAI benefits. If this coverage is accepted, the benefits for you apply to all accidental injuries during your rental period, regardless of whether you are actually in the car. Your passengers are also covered, but only for incidents occurring while they occupy the Green Motion rental car.

Personal Effects Coverage (PEC)
This is offered in combination with PAI, is an option that insures against risk of theft or damage to help protect your personal belongings while renting from Green Motion. The maximum coverage per person is USD 750.00 with the maximum total benefit for any one occurrence, regardless of the number of persons, being USD 2,000.00. There is no deductible for PEC.

Please note that PAI and PEC are not available separately and must be taken in combination.
Some exclusions and coverage conditions will apply. Please see counter agent and brochure for terms and conditions of the above products.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
This is not an insurance and is an optional product available for purchase at the time of rental. In most states, in the event of any other loss or damage to the car, regardless of fault, your financial responsibility extends to the full value of the car at the time of rental, less its salvage value, plus expenses for towing, storage impound fees, an administrative fee and a reasonable charge for loss of use.

If a Debit card or cash is allowed at the rental counter for the security deposit, the purchase of our CDW plan will be mandatory.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) Charges are as follows:
All vehicle types: $29-$59/day*
*Please note the purchase of a CDW is mandatory when renting car groups FL-OV (12 seater) and FL-OV2 (15 seater). Average insurance company will NOT insure a 12-15 passenger van as it is considered a commercial vehicle and exceeds certain weight. For further details, please ask the pick-up location.
*Depends on CDW plan selected, with corresponding deductibles.

The following items are excluded from the collision damage waiver:
Tyres, wheels, rear view and side mirrors, windows, windshield, hubcaps, taxi (transportation), towing costs, locks, battery, motor, undercarriage and interior of car, clutch, replacement keys, Damage to oil sump, Catalytic convertor, Radiator.

The purchase of a CDW plan will be required to proceed if renter does not have sufficient auto insurance.

Breakdown Assistance
Roadside assistance is optional and available to purchase at the counter.
Road side assistance covers items such as key replacement/delivery, flat tires, towing unrelated to an accident, jumpstart, lockout service and limited fuel delivery to reach the nearest service station.

Roadside assistance does not cover the cost for replacement tire, unless the tire was faulty or not within proper tread levels.

One Way Rental
Allowed to Orlando and Miami and vice-versa at a charge of $149. One-way renting with Fort Lauderdale is not allowed.

Car Types
The vehicle displayed and models listed are the most common vehicles used by our car rental partners. We cannot guarantee the make or model of the rental vehicle will be the same as the vehicle displayed on our website.

Rental Confirmation
Customers need to provide proof of the rental confirmation document on arrival.
Please note: We are not responsible for overcharges on rentals where the voucher was not presented to the local agent on collection of the vehicle. If you do not present the required documents, the documentation is not valid or you do not have enough funds on your credit card, the car rental agent may refuse to release the vehicle and no funds will be reimbursed.

Fine Payments
The renter is fully responsible for the payment of all vehicle parking and moving citations assessed against the renter or the vehicle during the rental period, including all such citations captured by camera and any related fines, fees, or penalties. If a citation issuing authority notifies us that we will be liable for any such citation and any related fines, fees, or penalties, you will be charged 75.00 USD administrative fee for each such notification in addition to the fine, fee, or penalty.
The renter is obligated to inform the rental agency about the fine payments.

Late Return
Grace period: 2 hours.

The car hire company will provide a 2 hour grace period to return the rental vehicle based on the booking confirmation return day and time. If the rental is returned after the 2 hour grace period, a $40 late fee charge will be assessed and will allow for the renter to return the vehicle by the end of that business day. Further admin charges and legal action can be taken and assessed in the event the vehicle remains to be overdue.

Non- Authorized Rental Extension
Unauthorized rental extension will result in additional rental days charged at minimum of $200 per rental. Penalties above the rental charge may apply and the driver will be black listed (declined for future bookings)

Out of Hours Service
Not allowed

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in any of our vehicles – all related valet and specialist cleaning costs will be charged to the renter. Minimum charge: $400
This includes allowing cigarette or cigar ash into the vehicle.

Deep Cleaning of the Car
Where excessive soiling is caused, the customer will be charged the total amount depending on the damage. Minimum charge: $350 per rental.
Penalties will apply for any deep odors or very dirty vehicles

Early Returns / Unused Rental Days: No refunds (partial or full) will be given for rentals ended early.

Complaints: Any complaints must be made in writing within 30 days of the return of y our rental. Complaints received after this period may not be considered.

Rental Extensions: Please note that it may not always be possible for the hiring branch to extend the hire. Where the branch agrees to extend the hire, the rental will be charged at the prevailing rate - this may be higher or lower than the original booking rate.

Delayed Collections: Reservations will be held for 2 hours from the specified reservation time, after which they will be classed as a no-show. If a client arrives after this time, then a vehicle is not assured. We will do everything possible to provide a vehicle. This may include offering a different vehicle and rates may be different to the original booking.

No Show Fee
You must cancel your reservation 48 hours in advance of your rental date. Otherwise charges will apply, up to 50% of the rental value. Late arrivals by 2 hours or more are subject to availability and or market price and/or cancellation of booking.

Stop Sell
We reserve the right to apply a stop sale at any time for one or more vehicle categories.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of your reservation should be made in writing at least 24 hours prior to the start of your rental, or cancelled through your account on the Green Motion website. Please note that telephone cancellations will not be accepted.

Cancellation Administration Charge
If a reservation is not collected or not cancelled in advance of the start time then Green Motion will levy a charge.
For pay on arrival reservations made online, the no-show/cancellation fee will equal the pre-paid deposit and no refund will be due.
All prepaid reservations will be subject to a cancellation fee of $15. The amount due for no-show/cancellations will be calculated in line with the below:
7 or more days before start date: $15
3-6 days before start date: 50%
2 days before start date: 75%
0-1 days before start date: 100%
For any bookings with a value of less than $15, there will be no refund due regardless of when the cancellation request was made.
The notice period is based on a day being a 24 hour period, up to the start time, not a calendar day.

General Terms
All bookings are subject to our terms and conditions.
All prices quoted are subject to local taxes and other fees.
US law applies to all agreements made on the basis of the terms cited above.
Green Motion makes all efforts to ensure that all information provided is correct at the time of booking. Furthermore, the customer by signing the rental agreement agrees to adhere to our conditions at the time of collection of the vehicle and for the duration of the rental.

Green Motion cannot accept liability for any charges incurred on documentation signed for and accepted locally.

Green Motion will not be held responsible for anyone driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs causing willful damage, off road driving or driving without due care and attention. The customer will accept responsibility in respect of such claims. This list is not exclusive.

In the case where a customer is found negligent, Green Motion reserves the right to pursue the customer for the recovery of all losses incurred.
